Dear Commissioners,

I am writing to urge you to appoint José Gamero-Georgeson as House District 48's representative in the state legislature.

José Gamero-Georgeson has developed meaningful relationships in the district over his many years of community service. His endorsements from groups such as APANO, Ironworkers Local 29, East County Rising Action Fund, and the Mother PAC demonstrate that he is recognized as a strong partner (https://www.josefororegon.com/endorsements).

José has also been endorsed by the entire David Douglas School Board as well as many other local and state leaders who rely on José's collaborative leadership to get things done. Jose is rooted in our community and has spent significant time in East Portland and House District 48.

Out of all the candidates running for this position, José is the only one who has earned the support of voters in East County. He was appointed to the David Douglas School Board in 2024, where he served alongside Hòa Nguyễn, and elected in 2025. Jose was ranked the #1 candidate at last week’s nominating convention. House District 48 is one of the most competitive legislative districts in Oregon, and we need a leader who has already shown they have the trust of voters. José Gamero-Georgeson is that candidate.
